Abstract

While there is much to commend in the Kay Review of UK Equity Markets and Long-Term Decision Making, the final report omitted one crucial reform - reconfiguring the structure and governance of pension funds - that would materially affect of the achievability of several of its key recommendations. This op-ed explains why pension fund reforms are necessary and sets forth several proposals.
