Abstract

In this article, Professor Finkelman argues that the war on drugs has done a great deal of damage to the Bill of Rights. He discusses how the regulations which have come along with the war on drugs have compromised the American justice system and undermined the work of defense attorneys. Instead of “innocent until proven guilty,” Professor Finkelman suggests that those brought up on drug charges are “guilty until proven innocent.”
