Abstract

This article addresses the developments in Family Law in New York in 2001 and 2002. The biggest change being the enactment of the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act. Topics in this issue include: Parents and Children, Paternity Proceedings and the Rights of Non-Marital Children, Nonparent visitation, Termination of Parental Rights, Domestic Violence and Child Welfare, Persons in Need of Supervision, Same-sex Domestic Partners, and Equitable Distribution.
