Abstract

The author examines the growth of community dispute resolution in the 1980’s and examines whether larger budgets and increasing institutionalization/alliances with civil and criminal courts is a “striking symbol of success” or a “betrayal of the community empowerment ideology that originally spearheaded the community dispute resolution movement.”
