Abstract
This is a response to Professor Scott Taylor's assertion that the problem method should replace the Socratic case-method in legal education. I argue that Professor Taylor's call to abandon the Socratic method, while understandable, goes too far. I believe (and argue) that delivering useful legal education via the Socratic method is not only possible, but can be done well. The Socratic method is simply a tool whose results depend on its proper application.
