Abstract
Whitney R. Harris died at age 97 on April 21, 2010. He was the final living one of the prosecutors who appeared in 1945-46 before the International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg, the trial of the principal Nazi war criminals.
After Nuremberg, Whitney Harris became a lawyer in the U.S. occupation government in the former Germany, a law professor, an American Bar Association staff leader, a successful private law practitioner and businessman, and a philanthropist. He was a lifelong advocate of human rights and international law. From Nuremberg through the 1998 Rome Conference until the end of his long life, he was a tireless and important supporter of the International Criminal Court.
