Abstract

The Union Budget is one of the major macroeconomic indicators which are usually considered as the crucial parameters for economic analysis of a nation. In layman perspective, budget is just forecasted income and expenditure statement of the Central Government for the following Fiscal year as conventionally budget is placed in the Parliament by the Union Finance Minister in the name of the President of India on the last working day of the February. Discussion and debate goes on in both upper and lower house of parliament about the merit and demerit of the proposed budget. After the discussion is over, budget has to be passed in both the houses by voice vote or by division.
