Abstract
Starting from two decisions of the California Supreme Court that are in result right the opposite of each other on a similar subject matter, this paper tries to establish first steps towards a theory of Constitutional Nominalism which is essentially hermeneutic, and thus, even if it may surprise some, could provide for additional consistency in constitutional adjudication.
