Erasmus Research Institute of Management - ERIM Research Paper Series

The mission of Erasmus Research Institute of Management (ERIM) is to carry out first-rate research, which is published in international top journals in the field of Research in Management. The research is focused on the firm in its environment, its intra- and inter-firm relations, its business processes and the management of these in their interdependent connections. The research is organized in five programs (theme groups) that cover a variety of themes and topics. (1) Business Processes, Logistics Management and Information Systems, (2) Organization, (3) Marketing, (4) Finance and Accounting, (5) Strategy and Entrepreneurship. The Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) accredited ERIM in 1999. Within ERIM, over a hundred senior researchers and sixty Ph.D. candidates are active in the different research programs. From a variety of academic backgrounds and expertises, the ERIM community is united in striving for excellence and working at the forefront of creating new business knowledge. The ERIM Report Series Research in Management contains working papers, produced by fellows, members and PhD candidates of ERIM. The reports in the Series are available as paper versions and as electronic versions. A paper in the Series is intended as a means to communicate the results of recent research to colleagues and other interested parties. Each report contains bibliographic data and bibliographic classifications. These data and classifications are produced in cooperation with the Erasmus University Library.
