Abstract
Unlike Yan (2012) who uses R as an internet-connected financial calculator, in this 2-page document I show how to use Python, free software, as a financial calculator to estimate PV, FV, PV of annuity, to estimate effective rates, beta and more. I assume that a user has never heard of Python. Within 30 minutes including the time used to download and install Python, a new user should be able to use my pre-written set of Python functions (just one file).
