Abstract:
Extended copyright piracy has brought into focus the question whether, among other techniques to fight piracy, such as intensive criminalization and enforcement of intellectual property rights, raising public awareness of copyright issues may help. The paper describes how copyright awareness has come into the forefront and offers some ideas about its prospective success.
