Abstract:
There are many viewpoints surrounding illegal immigration into the United States, especially concerning illegal immigrants from Latin America. This paper addresses the economic perspectives of the various stakeholders, starting with the perceptions of those most affected - the illegal immigrants themselves - and then examines economic points of view and impacts on other stakeholders. This paper does not deal directly with politics or political opinion, although those are forces that certainly influence the economic landscape. The research presented here covers the period of December 2005 through July 2007.
