Global Warming and Social JusticeEric A. PosnerUniversity of Chicago - Law School Cass R. SunsteinHarvard Law School Spring 2008 Regulation, Vol. 31, No. 1, pp. 14-20, Spring 2008 Abstract: This article investigates considerations of distributive and corrective justice in the context of climate change policy. The authors accept that there is good reason for greenhouse gas emissions restrictions, but those reasons do not include concerns about distributive and corrective justice. It is unclear that those restrictions are the best way to help the most disadvantaged people in the world, and climate change does not fit the standard conception of tort.
