Ethical Money: Financial Growth in the Muslim World

Abstract:     
Money is a moral issue, and ethical considerations pervade the Islamic financial services industry through Shariah law. Islamic finance and finance in the Muslim world is growing quickly, and conventional financial institutions will continue to accommodate demand for Shariah compliant banking and investment services. As a growing and globalizing field, Islamic finance and the relation between Shariah compliant financial products and conventional financial products deserve more consideration as an area of law on the international stage. At the nexus between legal, financial, and religious issues, scholarly research in this area is ripe for development and presents an opportunity for cultural dialogue.
