Abstract:
This inquiry aims at singling out the major issues related to the legislative simplification of the Treaties establishing the European Union and the European Community. It also highlights the importance for a true democracy of a clear and comprehensible legislation. As a result, it contains some reflections on how meaningful is talking of a democratic deficit in the current stage of the European integration.
