Abstract:     
First six-month period report This report summarise the research activities carried on during the first semester within the work on "Hydraulic models of floods following extreme weather events". The ultimate aim of these activities is to implement a hydro-metereological chain as a tool to forecast floods, mitigate risks, thus acting as a decision support system for civil protection. The problem has been set starting from complete shallow water equations describing the space and temporal evolution of currents thanks to a pluviometric input given by a limited area model.
