Abstract:
Despite a large economics literature discussing issues of habitat conservation and deforestation, and a growing recognition of the importance of spatial aspects of resource management, economists have only recently developed research that considers the drivers of fragmentation and evaluates fragmentation policy. This literature review categorizes the papers and articles that examine fragmentation using the lens of economic analysis.
