AlbersOregon State University - Applied Economics/FES Meidan BuOregon State University - Applied Economics/Forest Resources July 9, 2009 Abstract: Despite a large economics literature discussing issues of habitat conservation and deforestation, and a growing recognition of the importance of spatial aspects of resource management, economists have only recently developed research that considers the drivers of fragmentation and evaluates fragmentation policy.
