Rabbi Kahane, International Law, and the Courts: Democracy Stands on its HeadOfer Attiasaffiliation not provided to SSRN Ed MorganUniversity of Toronto - Faculty of Law 1990 Temple International & Comparative Law Journal, Vol. 4, p. 185, 1990 Abstract: This article examines two decisions of the Israeli Supreme Court and one of a United States federal court. All three cases pose legal challenges raised by political activist Meir Kahane, the American born founder of the Jewish Defense League and of Israel's rightist Kach Party. As an activist at home on both sides of the ocean, Kahane presented legal and political challenges to two democracies and two sets of national judiciaries.
