The AFL-CIO-NDLON Agreement: Five Proposals for Advancing the PartnershipJayesh RathodAmerican University - Washington College of Law 2007 Human Rights Brief, Vol. 14, No. 3, pp. 9-13, 2007 Abstract: This article explores possibilities for collaboration between organized labor and worker centers in the United States. As a point of departure, the article describes a formal partnership created in 2006 between the AFL-CIO and the National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON). Areas for collaboration that are discussed include occupational safety and health, enforcement of the Davis-Bacon Act, educational campaigns, local partnerships, and job training & apprenticeship programs.
