Symposium: Critical Legal Studies (Début de Siècle): A Symposium on Duncan Kennedy’s A Critique of Adjudication. This article, written for a symposium in honor of Duncan Kennedy on the occasion of the publication of his book, A Critique of Adjudication (1998: Harvard), uses works produced during the overlapping times of the Beat Generation and the Civil Rights Movement to explain, extend, and move beyond critical legal studies and Critical Race Theory.
