Abstract:
This Afterword to the 10th anniversary edition of Eli Clare's Exile and Pride: Disability, Queerness and Liberation considers how the critical perspectives offered by Clare's work a decade ago reflect on today's queer and trans political context. The afterword argues that in the context of an even more concentrated focus of resources on the quest for marriage inclusion and the racist aftermath of Proposition 8, Clare's intersectional disability, economic and racial justice focused analysis is as urgently needed as ever.
