This is a published conversation between Justice Michael Kirby of Australia's High Court and Professor Ruthann Robson. Michael Kirby, recently retired, was the first openly gay judge of a nation's highest court. The discussion encompasses judicial review in Australia and the US, sexual minority rights, the same-sex marriage cases, and personal experiences of being "queer" in the law.
