Human Rights and the Environment

Victoria University of Wellington Law Review, Vol. 40, p. 293, 2009

Abstract:
This paper examines whether there is already a human right to an environment of quality and, if not, whether existing human rights adequately address environmental issues. After answering both these questions in the negative, it concludes that there should be such a right and that it should be part of any regional human rights mechanism for the Pacific.
