Abstract:
The paper aims at developing a mathematical model to compare several municipal wards of a town in terms of the facilities provided by the local self governing authorities. The several attributes under study are considered as the parameters for comparison. Using Delphi method these attributes are weighted and then combining them into one single index is discussed. To check the model, the searchers, as a case study, compared some wards of Karimganj town under the local municipal board.
