The Straight Scoop on the Passive Voice

Lawyers are often advised to avoid the passive voice, but some may be uncertain about what the passive voice is and how to avoid it. This article identifies the passive voice, discusses situations where it may be appropriate, and provides examples of how to change it to the active voice.
