The End of the Age of Development? (In Polish: Koniec Ery Rozwoju)Jacqueline MowbrayUniversity of Sydney - Faculty of Law August 20, 2010 Polish Development Law Quarterly (Kwartalnik o rozwoju), Vol. 1, No. 1, pp.1-5, 2008 Sydney Law School Research Paper No. 10/77 Abstract: This article considers criticisms of the development project and whether these can be seen to herald ‘the end of the age of development’. In arguing that these criticisms are not necessarily fatal to the concept of development as an international policy, it considers efforts to reformulate the development project to take into account human rights concerns; the way in which such concerns have changed international approaches to development cooperation and assistance; and the future of development projects.
