Briefing CasesLynn McLainUniversity of Baltimore - School of Law March 27, 2010 Abstract: This paper, presented to admitted law school applicants, provides a format for briefing appellate cases for a full understanding of them. It includes the full text of a copyright law case on a parody of Mickey Mouse and provides a brief of that case as an example of how to brief fully. It also includes discussion questions as to pertinent policy issues, as well as other fact patterns to which to apply the holding of the sample case.
