World Market Share, Labour Cost and Technology - A Discussion Based on Panel Data
Miltiades N. Georgiou
October 25, 2010
In the present paper it will be shown that unit labour cost and technology do matter for the world market share in the international trade. However, it will be also shown by means of an econometric model that unit labour cost matters more than technology. The present paper is an extension and generalization of author’s three previous articles and refers to Western Economies during the period 1999-2007. The elaboration of data is made feasible through the Eviews software package.
