Debunking the Socratic Method?: Not So Fast, My Friend!Daniel J. DyePhoenix School of Law August 18, 2010 Phoenix Law Review, Vol. 3, p. 351, 2010 Abstract: This is a response to Professor Scott Taylor's assertion that the problem method should replace the Socratic case-method in legal education. I argue that Professor Taylor's call to abandon the Socratic method, while understandable, goes too far. I believe (and argue) that delivering useful legal education via the Socratic method is not only possible, but can be done well. The Socratic method is simply a tool whose results depend on its proper application.
