The EU Single Currency and East European Countries (in Bulgarian)

EU CEE enlargement involves also the prospects of introducing the Single currency. Given that plausible conclusions are not possible without the general macroeconomic perspective, the text starts with the recent developments in monetary policy. Further the case of the CEE countries is examined in detail. The emphasis of the text is on the threats and opportunities for the 10 new East European EU members in entering the EMU, including the prospects of fulfilling the Maastricht criteria.
