Abstract:
As a religion, is Islam peaceful or violent? What is the legacy of the Prophet Muhammad, historically and from the Qur'anic perspective? In this paper it is argued that, without properly defining violence, labeling Islam and the legacy of the Prophet Muhammad as either peaceful or violent might be a simplistic reductionism.
