Abstract:     
This article exposes the judicial reasoning and analyzes the judgment of the Superior Court of Quebec in the landmark decision of the 29th August 2009, Robinson c. Films Cinar. It exposes possible points of reasoning and seeks to define the notion of originality and the issues it raises in Canadian and international copyright law.
