Abstract:
The chapter discusses various recent reform efforts at the state level, with special emphasis on the National Popular Vote Movement and the move to get a uniform state law forbidding "faithless" electors. The discussion includes an exploration of the political tensions in particular faced by proponents of those two reform efforts.
