Abstract:
The first of four articles comparing an example from the Federal Rules of Evidence with the "restyled" version.The article identifies 33 drafting deficiencies in Rule 609(a)-(b). (The restyled version has since been slightly changed.) The new rules are scheduled to take effect in December 2011.
