La Privacidad Después de Facebook (Privacy After Facebook) (in Spanish)Miguel MorachimoPontificia Universidad Católica del Perú April 26, 2011 Gaceta Constitucional, Vol. 40, pp. 343-355, 2011 Abstract: This paper explores the ongoing changes in privacy as a social construction due to the popularization of social network sites like Facebook. From the analysis of the recent changes on Facebook's Privacy Policies, It concludes that what we understand by privacy will evolve as a by product of the confrontation between commercial responses to privacy settings and privacy laws. We should be aware, however, of the importance that this issue has to the regulability of digital environments. The paper also presents the current jurisdictional remedies available in Peru against privacy breaches and unauthorized treatment of personal data.
