Abstract

This work tried to define what a trademark is in Nigeria, How trademarks are licensed in Nigeria and how the licensing of trademark will encourage small and medium scale enterprises in Nigeria. Considering the contributions of trademarks licensing to the economy of the nation, Trademarks licensing and its encouragement to Small and Medium Scale Enterprises can be said to be a very good source of economic development in developing countries, it is a fact that it reduces unemployment and poverty in a given country.
