Abstract
This paper, by the hand of the jurisprudence of the Colombian State Council, and some of the Supreme Court, shows the general scope and understanding that should be given to the concepts of causation, liability attribution and grounds for liability exclusion, and offers the current guidelines of the Colombian jurisprudence on these issues.
