Tafsir of the Holy Qur'an: (Ch 2: Surah Al-Baqarah, Section 2), Verses Nos. 8 to 20Munir Ahmad MughalPunjab University Law College; Superior Law College; LIMIT Law College, Lahore August 4, 2011 Abstract: In these verses the traits of the hypocrites have been mentioned. The Holy Qur'an has divided the mankind into three categories. 1. Those who believe in La ilaha illallahu Muhammadur Rasulullah and act upon it in the light of the excellent model of hte life of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). 2. Those who disbelieve and 3. those who are outwardly showing having believed but in thier hearts they are still lacking sincere belief. This they do to cheat God and the believers but how can a creation cheat the Creator. They are therefore, in great fallacy and causing thier own loss in both the worlds. The Qur'an stresses that a human being should be true in his words and that the words have got value both here and hereinafter. All aspects of good governance on the earth depends upon honesty and truthfulness. The hypocrites are the mischief mongers and cause disorder in the society.
