Abstract:     
The paper deals with the doctrine of abuse of rights which is a civil law doctrine. It states that a person may be held liable for the harm caused by doing some thing the person has a right to do if the right is exercised with motive to cause harm, without a legitimate interest deserving judicial protection, against moral rules, good faith or fairness and for a purpose other than the intended legal purpose.
