Review of the Book 'Of Systems and Situations'Munir Ahmad MughalPunjab University Law College; Superior Law College; LIMIT Law College, Lahore October 23, 2011 Abstract: This paper is a review of the book titled as "Of Systems and Situations" in which the author has touched twelve topics of real importance such as Systems and Situations, Wither Land of the Leal, A New Social Contract, Only Some of the Truths, Separate and Independent Judiciary, Role of the Crime Investigation in Securing Effective Efficient and Fair Administration of Criminal Justice System, A Constitutional Humbug, A Misleading Question, Mode of Selection of Judges and Independence of Judiciary, Criminal Justice System in Pakistan: Contemporary Problems in Securing Efficient Administration of Criminal Justice, Eighth Amendment: A Misnomer and Fifteenth Amendment Bill: An Appraisal. There are three quotations in the book: W. A. Foster saying that quality is never an accident, it is always a result of high intention, sincere efforts, intelligent direction and skillful execution. It represents the wise choice of many alternatives. W. R. Inge's saying that all good things which exist are the fruit of originality. Raymond Williams saying that when art communicates, a human experience is actively offered and actively received. Below this activity threshold, there can be no art. The book under review is certainly an addition as an asset in the judicial and administrative history of Pakistan.
