Gender Inequality: African Women’s Cultural Battle for Education and SuccessDavid S. BendersUnion College - Educational Studies Unit February 6, 2012 Abstract: A review of literature addressing the continued plight of woman internationally shows that inequality in the culture as well as practice. This review is an attempt to make a stronger awareness of the cultural battle facing woman for educational opportunities. Supporting this effort for gender opportunity equality is the organization GREAT which has attempt to take a strong stance on this issue. The investigation reports that inequality remains in both elementary and secondary education.
