Plasticity, Recycling and Plastic Bullets
University of Westminster
November 16, 2011
Using a reading of Hegel by Catherine Malabou, this paper will argue that the purpose of law is to express the dialectic that powers the totality of the System. The plasticity of the dialectic demonstrates the individual entity both receives form from and gives form to the environment and each other. Since this indicates a tension between resistance and change, it is argued that recycling is only possible from the bottom-up rather than imposed from the top-down.
