It is a 2-volume, 6-chapter, hardbound treatise. The full-text document is not available for download here. The treatise is the dominant authority pertaining to domestic violence in New York State, covering New York State laws as well as relevant U.S. Supreme Court cases. The treatise explores topics primarily in criminal law, family law and torts law, with some sections on employment, housing, probate and other areas of law. Professor Breger co-authors the book with Judge Lee Hand Elkins and Jane Fosbinder, Esq., both of Brooklyn. The treatise and its authors have been cited as authority multiple times by trial and appellate courts. It is updated yearly with new cases, laws and legislative updates. A newly revamped Third Edition is scheduled to be written in 2013.
