Evaluating Academic Law Library DirectorsRoberta F. StudwellAve Maria School of Law; Charlotte School of Law; University of Nevada, Las Vegas, William S. Boyd School of Law; Thomas M. Cooley Law School May 30, 1999 91 Law Library Journal 423, 1999 Abstract: Standards for evaluating law library directors are difficult to locate. Two goals are integral to the meaningful evaluation of any academic law library director; 1) determining how well the library is operating, and 2) determining how well the director is performing. The author contends that both goals can be met by the Dean of a law school when the evaluation is structured around the mission of the law school.
