Policy Colloquium Notes: Empowering Data-Driven Innovation - Co-convened by Google and O’Reilly Media at Google’s Mountain View Campus

Abstract:     
On April 30, 2012, approximately 30 experts from a variety of domains — academia, large companies, start-ups, government, NGOs — came together to discuss policy issues that affect and will affect data-driven innovation in the coming years. The colloquium was run under Chatham House rules so that attendees would feel free to contribute their thoughts and expertise to the event. Table recorders during breakout sessions kept notes and our facilitator recorded notes during post-breakout discussions among the whole group. This document is a compilation of all notes from the event.
