Abstract

In an interactive mini-workshop we will share key principles and tools of an effective approach to build sustainable positive relations and achieve creative shared solutions with high levels of ownership. Participants will have fun as they learn thinking skills to generate, develop, and implement innovative ideas.

People in professions, academia, science and business are usually highly skilled in analytical problem solving. However, problems that require new ways of doing things, or challenges where we must find shared solutions to resolve conflict, are usually solved more effectively by first building a collaborative climate an creativity d using creative thinking skills – and then using analytical skills to select ideas and work on implementation.

We will show how we build a trusting climate, and will use tools to look for novel solutions, such as Improving products, services, or the way activities are tackled, and evaluating ideas constructively before building them into shared action plans.
