Abstract
Celem opracowania było przedstawienie wyników badań empirycznych różnic w poziomie zadłużenia pomiędzy spółkami prowadzącymi działalność eksportową a spółkami prowadzącymi wyłącznie sprzedaż krajową.
The purpose of the study was to empirically verify whether exporters use more debt in their financing structure than non-exporters. The study was conducted for the companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in years 2000-2009. Capital structure was measured with a debt ratio calculated as total liabilities divided by total assets. To test statistical significance of differences between exporters and non-exporters a Cochraine-Cox test was used. Differences in debt ratios were not always statistically significant but apart from companies manufacturing and selling metal elements all remaining exporters used more debt than non-exporters.
