Paradigms of Financial Education in Brazil

In Brazil, there is still an incipient handling of Financial Education as a consequence of agents involved in Financial Literacy reduced experience. This paper analyses Financial Education in Brazil and proposes five principles should guide the Public and Private Agents in Financial Education’s Programs. Therein, it is emphasized that Elementary, Secondary and Post Secondary Education is essential in the development of a savings culture and in the individuals’ awareness to deal with the financial services to comply with their own personal demands.
