Abstract

Using bibliographic records from Web of Science and Scopus, this paper tries to give a complete view of the economic crisis topic based on literature published during 2008 to 2012. This is a descriptive survey using scientometric indicators. This paper presents a quantitative study of productivity, characteristics and various aspects of publications in the field of the economic crisis. This study demonstrates that the amount of research increased dramatically during the crisis. Furthermore, the most frequently cited articles and topics associated with the currency crisis, finance, and banking crisis.
