Abstract

This paper discusses basics of cloud computing, viz., cloud characteristics, models and architecture. The importance of the cloud computing has been argued against the back drop of cloud computing service providers in India. It outlines cloud computing scenario since its adoption in India. Some of the legal and regulatory issues are also covered along with the initiatives taken by the Government of India.
